Paul McGuinness U2 Music Moguls feeling the Heat!

U2 manager takes internet providers to task! (In his dreams)

Paul McGuinness, manager of the rock band U2, has called on Internet service providers to introduce disconnection policies to end illegal music downloads and urged governments to make sure they do.

Welcome to the 21st century Mr. McGuinness. Looks like this dinosaur is feeling the pinch in record sales.

The consumer has always been ripped off with music CD’s as have the artists.

When the big Companies got in on the music acts they held them at knife point with mumbo jumbo contracts and attractive initial up front loans that the acts had to work off in CD sales.

At the other end the consumer had to pay high prices for cheaply produced plastic discs because they had music on they.

Well duh! Now we are all better off the internet acts as a free market what is liked is downloaded even for a small fee. What is not is ignored. That’s the reality. If it’s good we will download it or buy it if its not we dump it.

Maybe Mr. McGuinness should stop his bully boy tactics and get real and wake up to the fact he’s out of his depth with the internet.

Really can you see the internet disappearing overnight!  I can’t. Just like buggy whips became obsolete when the car was invented, the CD may become obsolete as the internet keeps on growing.
