Universal Music are boasting that Amy Winehouse is giving them “amazing marketing opportunities” at a time when Amy Winehouse suffers in silence in a drug rehabilitation center.
Universal Music International VC Hassan Choudhry said:
“Everyone is extremely happy with the amount of records we’ve sold and a lot of it has been down to some amazing marketing opportunities in the market when the artist wasn’t available.
“There’s no getting away from the fact all the coverage has kept Amy Winehouse’s profile at the highest level.”
The thing about being a celebrity is that keeping a high profile is hard work and it can become self fulfilling aim, to get in front of the cameras every single moment of every single day, without doing something outrageous, or dangerous.
