U.N. Gets George Clooney into Job they couldn’t do themselves!
Today the United Nations has appointed George Clooney as a UN messenger of peace.
Good for George Clooney whom I imagine has a bit of political savvy.
However it is shocking that a world International body has to recruit actors or actresses as semi ambassadors to promote peace! Is that not the job of the U.N.?
However, when you realize that the United Nations is just made up of a lot of semi trivial politicians. Most whom have been bought a place at the UN by their governments in reward for backing some vote here or there, then you can begin to understand why they need celebrities to do their job. Which is to promote world peace.
Good luck to George as I’m sure it will enhance his career and take him to places in the world he would never normally go to.
Just hope he has a big pair of scissors to cut through all the red tape he will encounter in the U.N.
