“My life is a shell of what it was. People talk to me and I just zone out. It’s like the whole world is now stillborn. Colors aren’t as bright, love doesn’t feel real. I don’t know who I am and I just feel numb.”
A friend has said:
“On the first night in rehab she begged a friend to take her in some drugs. After that she did not take anything for a week to ten days. But that was just about trying to get her to the Grammies. Now we’re back to the dangerous levels of before.”
Such new information helps to explain Amy’s twitchy and erratic performance at the Brits awards earlier this month! Even if her addiction looks terrifying from outside, she is very new in hard drugs, still in that period which is called “honeymoon” by addicts. If Amy Winehouse continues like this before she knows it, someday she will see that there’s no love, no bright colors, no feelings left. Then she really will a travesty of what once was and truly Comfortably Numb!
