Oscars Cocktails Served Up For the Big Show!
In LA the bars tonight they are serving Oscar cocktails, trying to outguess who will win. How about this for a list of cocktails to whet your appetite!
In recognition of No Country For Old Men, someone has come up with drink called Blood and Sand - a concoction of Johnny Walker Red, cherry brandy, sweet vermouth and a splash of orange juice.
As for the movie There Will Be Blood this is a mix of Texas Tea: gin, vodka, rum, tequila, Cointreau, orange juice, sour mix and a splash of cola, on the rocks. Sounds like it will almost do the trick!
The more boring drink comes for the film Atonement that is a drink called Bound by Love, it is made with sloe gin, Chambord, lemon juice and egg white.
How about a Michael Clayton - a blend of amaretto, cognac, cherry brandy and cream strained over ice.
Who ever wins I know that some of the stars will be more than a little merry if they have any of the above drinks!
