Celebrity Chef Gordon Ramsey is being sued for $1 million by one of the guests on his show after his career was destroyed!
When Martin Hyde got the Gordon Ramsay treatment; he expected a little heat in the kitchen. However he did not expect his career to be left in a ruined heap.
Martin Hyde who is a restaurant manager claims his reputation is in tatters after millions of viewers saw the celebrity chef label him a ‘lazy t*****’ on Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares U.S.A.
Martin Hyde is now hoping to sue Gordon Ramsey and the program makers for $1 million, citing that his treatment on the show has ruined his career.
In the show in question Gordon Ramsay goes to Dillons, which is a struggling Indian restaurant in New York. Gordon Ramsey identifies problems with the menus, staff and management. Then, the fabulously foul-mouthed chef doesn’t mince his words when he delivers his verdict.
On the Show Gordon Ramsay tells the owner of the restaurant that one of his managers must go. An angry Martin Hyde then has a confrontation with Gordon Ramsay before walking out.
Martin Hyde claims that As general manager, he was responsible for booking shows and events for the restaurant’s cabaret bar. He claims that he had no responsibility for the kitchen.
Martin Hyde said that Ramsay picked on him because he would not follow the TV shows director’s orders to play the nasty boss and blame the other staff.
As a result of his public slander Martin Hyde, said he now lives in fear of being recognized as ‘that loser from the Ramsay kitchen show’.
He said:
“Being ridiculed by Gordon Ramsay on TV has wrecked my life, Gordon completely assassinated my character. My reputation is in tatters and nobody wants to employ me”.
