Paul McCartney performs in Ukraine!
Despite a torrential downpour Sir Paul McCartney still played for the crowds with a pop concert in Kiev Independence Square!
Paul McCartney played to over 350,000 happy Ukrainians on Saturday night.
Ex Beatle Paul McCartney played in Kiev’s Independence Square and worked his way through an astonishing 33 of his former hit songs.
With Kiev’s streets reduced to waterways due to a massive downpour, it was touch and go whether McCartney’s show would go ahead.
But the Show must go on and by all accounts many were happy that it did.
Sir Paul made himself at home by speaking the local lingo and waving the country’s flag.
Hot hits such as Hey Jude and Let It Be, went down well with the fans. However the biggest cheer came from Back In The USSR. Before singing this song Paul McCartney said:
“I’ve waited a long time to play this song here”.
